The Institute of Professional Auctioneers and Valuers (IPAV) was established in 1971 as a representative professional body catering for the professional and educational requirements of qualified, licensed auctioneers, valuers and estate agents throughout Ireland. It currently has close to 1000 members working as property agents and valuers within the private sector. With over 20 years experience in providing both full and part time educational courses. IPAV ‘s continuous review to reflect changes in the industry at local and European level ensure best practice and the highest international standards are achieved.
The Institute of Revenues Rating and Valuation (IRRV) was founded in 1882 and is a leading professional body concerned with local taxation and property valuation. It has a membership of over 3,500 and offers a range of qualifications covering its professional fields. It is a nationally approved awarding body for its vocational and examination-based qualifications. Each year, in excess of 600 students sit our examinations and vocational assessments. Successful students join the thousands of IRRV qualified professionals currently working in both the public and private sector within the fields of revenues, benefits and valuation.
The European Group of Valuers Association (TEGoVA) was established in 1997 and is the European umbrella organisation of national valuers associations. Its main objective is the creation and spreading of harmonised standards for valuation practice, for education and qualification as well as for corporate governance and ethics for valuers. It supports its member associations in the introduction and implementation of these standards. TEGoVA represents the interests of 63 associations from 34 countries with a total of over 70,000 members and speaks with a common voice on valuation to European legislators and policy-makers.
Polska Federacja Stowarzyszen Rzecoznawcow Majatkowych (PFVA) was founded in December 1993 by 15 Regional valuers' associations. PFVA is the voice of the valuer profession in Poland, activities are aimed at development of the profession, protection of its rights and improvement of professional skills and representing members before state institutions and on an international forum.
